Then we make choices based on the knowledge we have to assist As little girls, we have learned and unlearned behaviors. We learn through different avenues about behaviors from our mother, father, family, and surroundings. We learn by observation and examples; this is also known as unlearned behaviors. We have instinctive behaviors like nurturing and mothering. We observe how nurturing our mothers are toward us, and we mimic that behavior with our dolls and imaginary friends. We care for them as our children even with a child-like mind. We are also taught how to interact with the opposite sex by the behaviors we observe from our father’s or the lack thereof. If our fathers are loving, caring, kind, and attentive, then this is the type of man we will be attracted to, but if the father is absent, you are forced to learn this from your surroundings and environment. Mother’s and Father’s have specific roles in our lives, and the roles are very distinctive. The absence of either can be detrimental to the outcome of one’s life in the sense of dealing with life issues and relationships. It’s a void that occurs and gives a feeling of rejection or unloved by a parent. Our foundation stems from our surroundings, as our little minds enter the world of dreams. As children, we often wonder what we will become in life, and where we may end up in life. This is unknown to us at the time, but the sky is the limit.
